Additional Member Benefit Details
Collage Artists of America (CAA) holds five meetings a year at which renowned guest artists share current works and present stimulating programs that include slideshows, demonstrations and Q&A sessions. The roster of recent guest presenters includes Alexandra Grant, Stas Orlovski, Jon Measures, Kathi Flood, Lou Beach, Leigh Adams, David Brady, Mavis Leahy, Jackie Nach, Gerald Brommer, Franklyn Leigel and Katherine Chiang Liu.
In addition to an informative and inspiring presentation from a guest artist, each meeting also features opportunity drawings for art supplies. Our guest artists often donate an original work to the drawing! Attendees may also find treasures at the second-chance table, where a variety of donated art materials can be had at bargain prices. Proceeds from the drawing and second-chance table support CAA's Philanthropy Fund.
One or more member exhibits are held each year at a variety of traditional and alternative venues. A qualified artist from outside CAA juries for selection and awards. (New members are immediately eligible to participate in exhibits.)
CAA presents workshops at which members study with a visiting artist. These classes are extremely popular and are open to both members and prospective members.
The CAA newsletter brings notice of meetings, programs, announcements of issues and events of interest to the members, and the prospectus for the next scheduled exhibit.
