TrashArt by Patrice (5)
Created on: August 30, 2023
Patrice’s work falls under the category of assemblage which is typically created on a defined substrate that consists of three-dimensional elements projecting out of or from the substrate.
Each canvas tells the story of a person, an event or a particular location. Look carefully at the background copy--it introduces details that may be further touched upon by the three-dimensional objects; all placed carefully to create a sculptural composition; then blanketed with paints and sprays to emulate worn metal.
152 is a Harshad Number an integer that is divisible by the sum of its digits. The word Harshad comes from Sanskrit, meaning joy-giver. The elements of this assembly come from homes and gardens of eight family members.
